Southern Lovers is Kendra and Blake Rainey, a boutique record label focused on exceptional American music: the wild-eyed child of folk, punk, rock n' roll and barroom country. We are music lovers. A recording studio. Players. Southerners (one by birth, one by the sheer force of time). Supporters of Atlanta's sonic scene and the dusty bars and brightly lit back rooms it lives in.
But moreover, we are people who think there's something wildly under-appreciated about intelligent, southern songwriting in our big little hometown of Atlanta, GA.
And we aim to do something about that.
